Parts supplies are constrained industry-wide at this time due to world conditions.  Because of this, some parts will take longer to get.

    help identifying engine block

    in General Discussions

The casting number on my block is as follows:

    17

    C8OE

    6015-B

From what I have been able to find online it is a 1968 block used in a Fairlane or Torino.

I would like to know what size inline 6 it is and does anyone know what the 17 stands for?

Sorry, I’m not sure about the 17. The casting numbers do identify a model, but, with the engine block, it’s not that specific. There’s not an individual casting number for each model.
