Parts supplies are constrained industry-wide at this time due to world conditions.  Because of this, some parts will take longer to get.

If an order is in stock how long until it ships?

    in General Discussions

    Matt,

I didn't get an email reply from you regarding my inquiry about estimated shipping time. So I figured I'd try here, since I see that you responded more recently to another forum post. I ordered a rebuilt adjustable rocker arm assembly (RAS-200-ARA). Can you estimate when the part will ship? Is the part in stock (as your product inventory indicates)? Is it being drop shipped? Am I waiting on Rocker Arms Unlimited to rebuild one? I realize I'm probably being impatient, but I'm waiting on the assembly for a head rebuild, and have literally every other required part and gasket in hand, but the assembly. If it will take 'X' amount of time, let me know what 'X' is... Thanks.

    Greg

Well... two months later and still no adjustable Rocker Arm Assembly. I phoned Gary at Rocker Arms Unlimited and was informed that the core that was destined to be my rebuilt assembly had been returned to the original owner -- and I was out of luck. No email notification or phone call. Anyone remember when customer service was a thing?

I'm still waiting on my 1.5 ratio adjustable rocker assembly -- going on 3 weeks now. I guess the lesson here is: Inline 6 rebuilds are not for the impatient.

I phoned Gary at Rocker Arms Unlimited. He is waiting on a shipment of bronze bushings for the rebuild of my adjustable rocker arm assembly. They bore out the arms and rebush to match the thickness of the replated shaft. He said if he had a decent adjustable core he could turn it around faster, but unfortunately I have nothing to send since my I6 has a non-adjustable assembly (hence why I am swapping for an adjustable). He suggested if I get impatient I should use the stock non-adjustable assembly, and adjustable push rods. The adjustable push-rods are 2 or 3 times the cost of the ball and cup rods I have in my hand now...

My only choices with the website are “in stock” or “out of stock”. I can’t take an order and Bill later when the part is in. I try to mark thing out of stock if I know it’s going to be a long time, but if it’s a drop ship, I have to show it in stock. If I have a part on the shelf, it usually ships next day, but sometimes takes me a couple days.
