Matt,
I didn't get an email reply from you regarding my inquiry about estimated shipping time. So I figured I'd try here, since I see that you responded more recently to another forum post. I ordered a rebuilt adjustable rocker arm assembly (RAS-200-ARA). Can you estimate when the part will ship? Is the part in stock (as your product inventory indicates)? Is it being drop shipped? Am I waiting on Rocker Arms Unlimited to rebuild one? I realize I'm probably being impatient, but I'm waiting on the assembly for a head rebuild, and have literally every other required part and gasket in hand, but the assembly. If it will take 'X' amount of time, let me know what 'X' is... Thanks.
Greg
more tools then a hammer dude...
Well... two months later and still no adjustable Rocker Arm Assembly. I phoned Gary at Rocker Arms Unlimited and was informed that the core that was destined to be my rebuilt assembly had been returned to the original owner -- and I was out of luck. No email notification or phone call. Anyone remember when customer service was a thing?
been at it 39 yrs now, no rush. There may B more than "one lesson" here gsims1997.
I'm still waiting on my 1.5 ratio adjustable rocker assembly -- going on 3 weeks now. I guess the lesson here is: Inline 6 rebuilds are not for the impatient.
I phoned Gary at Rocker Arms Unlimited. He is waiting on a shipment of bronze bushings for the rebuild of my adjustable rocker arm assembly. They bore out the arms and rebush to match the thickness of the replated shaft. He said if he had a decent adjustable core he could turn it around faster, but unfortunately I have nothing to send since my I6 has a non-adjustable assembly (hence why I am swapping for an adjustable). He suggested if I get impatient I should use the stock non-adjustable assembly, and adjustable push rods. The adjustable push-rods are 2 or 3 times the cost of the ball and cup rods I have in my hand now...
Have you had that happen here?
if U order a part that' not in stock in places it i the cart, U gothru all the steps for charge, address ship, etc but when U come back later it is not in the cart. Hopin it's not charged out too.
Matt,
Any updates on the rocker assembly? Or should I get on the horn?
Greg
Thanks Matt. This is helpful. I ordered last Friday, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to not see it ship until next week. I'll await a shipping notification from rockerarms.com.
Hi Greg, I just resent the order to Rocker Arms Unlimited. They usually only take 3-5 days to build the assembly. I’ll call Monday. It will ship directly from them. If I mark an item as out of stock on my website, it can not be ordered, so drop ship items will always be shown as in stock.
