I’m having a hard time finding any of the prized aluminum heads that seem to be the only option for modding my 6 cyl 1964 1/2 Mustang with the 200ci inline 6. Everyone says the ones from Vintage are the best place to start to build reliable and high performance
Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated!
i am looking for a head, intake manifold (I have a later Ford 300 intake but can’t figure out how to mount it on the stock mustang 200 block/head) and exhaust manifold too, (I have a set of those cheap eBay headers but haven’t installed them yet). Once I can use a seperate manifold/head) for my current stock set-up, I’ll be off and running. I’m trying to avoid tearing the whole engine down, and just adding speed parts. Also interested in other performance mods for the 6cyl. I’m currently accumulating parts to try using a turbo setup, as I have found a cheap complete setup made for the 5.0. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty or mod my parts as needed, but I cannot find much info on who/how/what/why for this 6 cyl. I’m sure I’m just looking in the wrong place, so plz point me the right way! Any ideas?

Got it. I realize there’s a lot of things that are out of your control in the manufacturing process. Just like always, I need more patience!
thx for the update.
I talk to the shop that’s going to build them almost every week. The holdup is their foundry that is not strictly automotive. They still have some work to do to have my patterns work with their equipment. I am still hopeful it is just a matter of months. As far as my backorder situation goes, it is industry-wide. Other places sell some of the things I sell (if I don’t have them made) but honestly, everything is hard to get right now and has been for a year. I’m a one man show and do this at night and on the weekends so you can imagine the size of my business and the level of clout I carry! I definitely don’t mind people asking about other sources, but it does pinch just a little when my inventory comes into question! All is good. I hope some of the supply situations are improving now.
Apologies, sir. I sincerely meant no offense. To the contrary, I figured this forum would be the correct place to post about wanting/needing parts for my Mustang, and your customers/forum members would be the best source of leads. I am grateful for all your efforts, and while I’m just starting out in the restoration hobby/industry, I should remember that you are IN that industry, and I should defer to your experience. I’m sorry and It won’t happen a second time.

ps……can you give me a ballpark date of when you will have the aluminum heads back in stock and/or taking orders plz?
Thats kind of harsh on my own forum. When you find someone who can get the parts I sell when I can’t, let me know. Most people are grateful that I’m trying.
